New Function Google AdWords

Google AdWords

Since a few days AdWords display url’s are also listed in the headings for top-listed Advertisements. This is a new function Google AdWords that has value for users and advertising companies. It is yet another improvement Google has been making to the AdWords platform in the past months. As seen in the figure below, top listings now show company names/url at the end of the Heading separated by a vertical line.

New Function AdWords - Selection

This gives the user a trusted feeling about the company advertising. And yes they could see this in the Display Url or sometimes in one of the Ad lines. But now one of the first things they see is the company name. Besides being an advantage for the user it is also definitely an advantage for companies. They get more brand awareness. Afterall people need to remember your name and this works for both parties. And off course let us not forget that this is also an advantage for Google. I strongly believe that users will be more appealed to clicking the advertisement, which will cost the company money, which off course goes straight to Google.

On a personal level, as someone who is now working closely with AdWords functions and organic searches I am loving that Google has been working so hard on new functions within the AdWords platform.
